Day 1 Ho Chi Minh City Arrival

Day 2 Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi Tunnels

Start your city tour today by visiting the Reunification Palace and the War Remnants Museum. Then you continue your sightseeing with Ho Chi Minh's finest examples of French colonial architecture - the Notre Dame Cathedral. After the lunch in a Vietnamese restaurant, you leave the city center for a visit to Cu Chi Tunnels - the legendary of underground network of tunnels built by Vietnamese guerrillas during Vietnam War. It is a witness of magnanimous history of Vietnam and up to now, it has been an attractive destination for both of domestic and foreign tourists. Day 3 Mekong Delta one Day Tour

Today we depart from Ho Chi Minh City to explore Mekong Delta. Arrival in Phong Nam Pier, we will cruise along An Hoa River, visit charcoal workshop, coconut-processing workshop. Stop at brickwork to see how to make bricks in handy traditional style by printing and baking and visit rice paper cake workshop. Turn on natural scissors creeks where they look smaller and smaller to go to village. Stop at candy workshop, have a look and try some. Take a walk to family workshop making sleep mats. Take a tuk tuk on shady paths, pass by green rice fields and vegetable plains. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, take rowing boat along water palm creek and boat back to Hung Vuong Pier. Day 4 Ho Chi Minh City – fly to Danang - Hoi An

Day 5 Hoi An - Danang – Hue

Start an exciting day by visiting Cham Museum and then depart for Hue city. Day 6 Hue City Tour

Board a traditional sampan in the morning for a cruise up the placid Perfume River to visit the traditional Thien Mu Pagoda on the bank of the river. Day 7 Hue - Fly to Hanoi

Day 8 Hanoi City Tour - Night Train to Lao Cai

Leaving the hotel early in the morning to take a walk through Hang Be market – one of the most famous markets in Hanoi thanks to its diverse array of goods and eye-catching displays. Take this chance to observe the daily life of the locals and capture some memorable pictures. Afterwards visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (closed every Monday and Friday), his traditional stilt house, the One-Pillar Pagoda, and the thousand-year-old Temple of Literature also known as the First University of Vietnam. In the afternoon, visit the Ethnology Museum (closed on every Monday) where you can learn about the costumes, customers and daily life of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups; Old Quarter Streets and Hoan Kiem Lake vicinity of Hanoi. In the evening, transfer directly to Hanoi Railway Station for the overnight train to Lao Cai. Meals on your own. Overnight on the train in an air-conditioned cabin with sleeper berth (4 persons per cabin).

Remark: Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum closes from September to November for annual maintenance. We will arrange the visit outside.

Day 9 Lao Cai - Bac Ha Market – Sapa

You will arrive at Lao Cai at around 6.00 am and enjoy breakfast in a local restaurant. Afterwards you will take the beautiful and winding mountain road to Bac Ha (3 hours driving). Here you will visit Bac Ha Market. This wonderful market is a great place for photos and shopping. You will have chance to meet different groups of ethnic people at the market. After visiting the market take a walk on small paths through the surrounding nearby villages and then drive to Sapa for overnight. Dinner on your own. Overnight at hotel.

Remark: Bac Ha Market is held only on Sundays. Other markets are held in the region on some other days of the week: Can Cau Market is every Saturday morning and the Coc Ly Market every Tuesday. Your exact itinerary does depend on the day of the week you arrive.

Day 10 Sapa - Y Linh Ho - Lao Chai - Ta Van – Sapa

This trip commences with a short walk through the town of Sapa before turning on a footpath running through vegetable gardens. You then descend the valley on a dirt trail through rice paddy terraces, enjoying and take the chance to capture the spectacular scenery on the way. Once reaching the narrow river running on the bottom of the valley, you will walk along its bank for a while and eventually arrive at Y Linh Ho village of Black H’mong minority. Here you take a rest and have lunch nearby the river. After lunch, the walk takes you deeper into Muong Hoa valley. You will pass through Lao Chai village of Black H’mong minority and then Ta Van village of Giay minority by following a popular trekking route. At Ta Van, you walk up to the main road and have a transfer back to Sapa. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 11 Sapa - Heavens Gate - Tam Duong - Lao Cai - Night Train to Hanoi

You first travel by car uphill towards Heavens Gate. On the way, you can take a short walk to visit Silver Waterfall and then head to Heaven Gate, where you will be amazed by the breathtaking view of mountain surroundings including Fansipan, the highest peak of Indochina. You then continue your drive downhill on one of the most beautiful stretch of roads in Vietnam to Tam Duong, where you will meet the black Dao, who are trading in the town’s small market in their black traditional dresses. Capturing the landscape and the unique culture of this region surely adds up to your photographic diary. After lunch, you will start your trip to some minority villages on your way back to Sapa. You first visit Na Hum villages, inhabited by Black Thai, who are famous for their traditional stilt house surrounded by rice terraces stretching along the picturesque valleys. You then visit the Lu minority in Bo village where you may encounter the villagers while they are weaving their cloth. The last visit before you arrive back to Sapa is to Chu Va village of Flower H’mong and having a nice experience of watching and take pictures of the children playing curiously around in their very colorful custom. In the evening, drive to Lao Cai Station for the night train back to Hanoi. Dinner on your own. Overnight on the train in an air-conditioned cabin with soft sleeper berth (4 persons per cabin).

Day 12 Hanoi - Halong Bay Tour

Arrival in Hanoi Train Station in the early morning. Transfer to a mini hotel for breakfast and a short nap before leave Hanoi this morning and head straight to Halong bay a stunning UNESCO World Heritage site with its 3,000 islands of towering limestone dotting the bay and Gulf of Tonkin where will offer you numerous of chances to take the pictures(180km – 3.5 - 4 hour driving). After arriving at noon, you will board a beautiful boat for an overnight cruise on Halong Bay with an excellent menu of fresh seafood. Lunch and dinner served on boat. Overnight on board.

Day 13 Halong Bay - Overnight on boat

Day 14 Halong Bay - Hanoi – fly to Luang Prabang

Wake up early in the morning to enjoy aquamarine water of the bay at its best. After tea break, the boat continue to cruise quietly through spectacular limestone formations of Halong Bay. Enjoy this more isolated bay's spectacular and unique islands of the bay. Return to Halong harbour after a brunch for transfer back Hanoi airport for flight to Luang Prabang. Welcome on arrival and transfer to the city for check in. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 15 Luang Prabang City Tour - Kuang Si Waterfall

In the morning, visit the Kuangsi Waterfall. En route, we'll stop to visit Ban Na Oune, a small H'mong village and also Ban Tha Pane, a small village inhabited by the Khmu people. We'll enjoy a picnic lunch near the waterfall. Transfer back the city and visit National Museum, the former Royal Palace and Wat Xiengthong. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 16 Pak Ou Caves Tour

Today we'll spend a few hours travelling down the Mekong River on a long-tailed boat. We will visit the mysterious Pak Ou Caves inside the limestone cliff opposite the mouth of the Mekong and Nam Ou Rivers. We'll visit the village of Ban Xanghai, best known for its production of the traditional delicious rice of this country. Our lunch will be eaten at a local restaurant on the bank of the Mekong River. Upon our return to Luang Prabang we'll visit Ban Xangkhong, a village known for its paper making and for its naturally dyed silk weavings. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 17 Elephant and Soft Hiking Tour to Khmu Village

After breakfast, we take a short drive to the Spirit Resort where we will experience the protected Elephants at the “Elephant Park Project” along the Nam Khan riverbanks. From here we can enjoy the 1 hr. Elephant ride on the back of a protected Asian Elephant.

It is then followed by a short and easy hiking tour will lead us out into the Fair Trek project area where villages profit directly from our visit. A small Khmu community lives below a high rising mountain range. Depending on the time available a Lao style Lunch will be served at Ban Houay Fai and return to Tad Sae waterfall, boat ride back to Lao Spirit Resort. Then we are taken back to Luang Prabang. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 18 Luang Prabang - Drive to Vang Vieng

After breakfast we visit Central market. Then we travel by roads to mountainous town of Vang Vieng. Today our intrepid journey will be strenuous as we drive along one of the most scenic but also one of the roughest routes in Asia. In the afternoon, we arrive in Vang Vieng, a small and tranquil town, which is nestled on a bend of the Nam Song River. Its stunning scenery with a mixture of quiet water and limestone outcrops remains unspoiled, despite recent developments with the advent of tourism. After check into our hotel room, we will embark on a boat for a well-paced trip along the Nam Song River, exploring the breathtaking mountain landscape. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 19 Vang Vieng - Tham Phoutham - Kayaking and Tubing

After breakfast, we start our board on a local tractor through paddy field areas heading to Tham Phoukham caves, where our breath will be taken away seeing the most beautiful and famous limestone cavern, surrounded by natural forests. Along the way, we will have chance to explore the local cultures by greeting the local villagers and learning about their daily lifestyle. There is a small natural pool in front of the caves where we can take a swim to refresh ourselves from the hot climate or explore the nearby area. After spending the day at the caves and its surrounding areas, we make our way returning Vang Vieng town, using local transportation or tractor. En route, we visit the ethnic minority villages of Hmong, Souay and Taidam villages meeting the warm and friendly hill tribe people and observing their traditional tribal costumes.

In the afternoon we enjoy kayaking combine tubing along Song river about 3hour along Song river visit temples and local caves, other enjoy tubing 1hount through Tham Lom cave. Return to our hotel after an exciting day. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 20 Vang Vieng - Vientiane

Early morning, we drive out of town to Vientiane. Along the way we make a stop to visit Vang Xang, a famous archeological site dating back 11th century. After about 2 hours drive we will get to Vientiane, the charming and fascinating capital of Laos. This small town conjures up exotic images, with the curious mix of Lao, Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, French influences.

This afternoon we will explore the town; with Wat Sisaket which is the oldest temple still standing in Vientiane. This amazing structure features remarkable frescoes and Buddha images. We continue sightseeing by visiting Haw Prakeo, the former royal temple of Laos monarchy, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Statue. Then visit the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane's own Arc de Triumph before continuing to the famous That Luang Stupa. Return to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 21 Vientiane – fly to Siem Reap

Free morning until we are transferred to Vientiane airport for a short flight to the next destination – Siem Reap.

Upon arrival, you will be met and warmly welcomed by our guide from Cyclo Travel Vietnam. Then we transfer to the hotel for check in. Then we set off in the late afternoon for an exploration of one of the famous sites in Siem Reap, the fabulous Ta Prohm embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers after that.

Enjoy walking at busy pub street where you can find many bars for cool drink or shopping at Angkor Night Market. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 22 Angkor Thom Wonder Tour

We start on our tuk tuk to visit the South Gate, Bayon Temple- unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara, Baphuon temple lying just to the north of Bayon a pyramidal representation of mythical Mont Meru, The Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, The Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King.

The tour continues with the major visit to the famous temple: Angkor Wat. Angkor Wat is a World Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendor. Angkor Wat features the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 23 Tonle Sap Lake Tour

Early morning at around 5:30am, we start our day with a sunrise watch over Angkor Wat temple and listening singing birds over the ancient land of Angkor area. We walk to nearby Pagoda and offering food to monks. Spend your own time talk to the monk and nuns to exchange the culture or relieve. We return to hotel for breakfast.

Moving in tune with the rhythm of the great annual flood of Tonle Sap, take a boat ride to the village of Kompong Phhluk on stilts this afternoon. Explore this great ecosystem by way of canoeing and hear the calls of the macaque monkeys while observing the forest beneath the lake’s surface.

Then free time for you in the afternoon. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 24 Siem Reap - Kampong Thom - Phnom Penh

After breakfast we drive to Phnom Penh around 5 – 6 hours via Kampong Thom, travel just outside Kampong Thom to see key archeological sites, starting with Sambor Prei Kuk, perhaps the most important grouping of pre-Angkorian monuments in Cambodia. Before the rise of the Angkor, this was the capital of Chenla during the sixth century, known as Isanapura. Today over 100 small temple ruins sit peacefully in a forest setting. Explore the main central complex and gain an insight into the early architectural styles of Cambodia. On the way visit archeological “Naga Bridge” at Kompong Kdei.

We arrive in Phnom Penh in the late afternoon. Check into the hotel and free to relax afterwards. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 25 Phnom Penh City Tour

After breakfast we drive out of town to visit Choeung Ek museum, between 1975 and 1978 about 17,000 men, women, children and infants detained and tortured at S-21 prison were transported to the extermination camp of Choeung Ek.

We then return to town to visit the National Museum, Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, Independence Monument, Russian Market, & Wat Phnom. Then back to the hotel, a free night to explore the city yourself or relax. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
