Our history

Serenity is also the dream of the cruise line founder. After working for over ten years as a tour organizer on and around Cat Ba Island and Ha Long Bay he has developed a special bond with the area, which he considers his second home.

He completely understands the lives and aspirations of the local people, that their main desire is to be able to sustain their livelihoods through fishing. That is why, when he first thought about a cruise line, the name Serenity came immediately to mind.

Fabulous lunch is served while SERENITY CRUISES starts her sails into to magnificent Lan Ha Bay – an extension of Ha Long Wonder which is much quiet and less touristic. She will pass famous Finger Islet, Frog Islet and thousands of uniquely shaped limestone towers and islands.

15:00     Explore Lan Ha Bay – Ha Long Bay, hit the green emerald water for kayaking or swimming (if the weather permits)

SERENITY CRUISE reaches Dau Be Island, one of the most beautiful islands located in the South East of Ha Long bay. It is time to discover Halong bay on your own with your travel buddies – sharing kayak. Go explore the beauty of nature in hidden lagoon with lots of stalactites hanging down from the cave ceiling. This activity might depend on the tide level of the bay. In case the tide level is too high or too low, we will do kayaking in Dark Cave, Bright Cave area. There is a stop for those who wish to swim and go snorkeling in the lush green water.

16:30     Happy Hour & cooking demonstration

Back to SERENITY CRUISES after outdoor activities, this is perfect time to relax yourself with a cocktail, Happy hour deal is available from 16.30 – 18.30. Onboard, you may join a traditional cooking class presented by our crew.
Before dinner, our experienced captain will choose the most tranquil area to anchor for overnight

DAY 2 LAN HA BAY – CYCLING IN CAT BA NATIONAL PARK – HANOI

Be an early bird for photo hunt and join our Taichi session on the sundeck to refresh your body and mind.

7:00     Have light breakfast

SERENITY CRUISES continues her sail to Cat Ba Island, passing amazing karst towers. Tea, coffee and light breakfast is served with fresh air and peaceful surroundings.

7:45     Visit Viet Hai village

Our crew will take you to Viet Hai, a small village located in the midst of jungles, covered by high mountains range of Cat Ba National Park. Spending around 30 minutes for biking along, you will feel the peaceful atmosphere, charming scenery of a typical village in the North of Vietnam.

9:15     Return to SERENITY CRUISES

You will have sometime for fresh relax on the cruise then spend few minutes to settle your bill and check out from 9.15-10.00 am

10:00     Taste delightful lunch

During the time well prepared lunch is served, SERENITY Cruises slowly navigates emerald water and thousands of karst mountains towards the Harbour.

11:30     Disembark SERENITY CRUISES and farewell the crew

15:00: Explore Halong – Lan Ha Bay – go kayaking, swimming, and snorkeling

SERENITY CRUISES reach Đầu Bê Island, one of the most beautiful islands located in the South East of Ha Long Bay. It is your time to discover Ha Long bay on your own way with the tandem kayak (double kayak) to explore the beauty of nature in the hidden lagoon with lots of stalactites hang down from the ceiling cave. You can also go snorkeling to admire the amazing aquatic world. These activities might depend on the tide level of the bay. In case the tide level is too high or too low, we will do kayaking in Dark Cave, Bright Cave area.

DAY 2 EXPLORE CAT BA ISLAND

6:30: Do Tai-chi session on sundeck

Be an early bird for photo hunt and join our Taichi session on the sundeck to refresh your body and mind. SERENITY CRUISES continues her sail to Cat Ba Island, passing amazing karst towers. Tea, coffee and light breakfast is served with fresh air and peaceful surroundings.

7:45 – 8:00: Explore Cat Ba Island

Travel to Cat Ba town on the trail through the island. You will be surrounded by the birds chirping and the lush green leaves waving along the way. When you arrive at the gate of Cat Ba National Park, we will gather for a photo shoot with our professional photographer.
There will be time for bushwalking into the wild. Our tour guide will take you to Ngự Lâm peak and Kim Giao garden – those are the best spots to have a bird’s eye view of the island.
Besides, Trung Trang cave – an ideal destination for nature lover is also a highlight of the day. Trung Trang cave features 400 meters length through mountains, which is a natural cave created by heaven over two thousand years of history.

11:30 – Have lunch on the island

After the tour into Cat Ba National Park, you will take the bus to Cat Ba Town, enjoy local dished made from freshly caught seafood in the morning.
When the lunch is finished, you will have time to go seeing the local life on your own. You can visit the local seafood market or go take some photos in the Square.
Then you go to the most beautiful beaches: Tung Thu, Cat Co 1, Cat Co 3 to swim.

14:30 – Visit Cannon Fort

Watching the sunset on Lan Ha Bay from the fort with your favorite cup of coffee, chatting with your friends is something you cannot miss.

16:00 – Go back to SERENITY CRUISES

The canoe will pick you up and take you back to SERENITY CRUISES. Relax on the sundeck with a cocktail before dinner is served.

19:00 – Vietnamese cuisine for dinner

Dinner will be served in the cozy atmosphere and classical music. Red wine ready, candles lid, you will just indulge yourself in the taste of Vietnam.
You will then enjoy the rest of the night with drinks on the sundeck or try your luck with catching squids. Squid caught will be cooked for you right away on request.

DAY 3 SERENITY CRUISES – VIET HAI VILLAGE – TUAN CHAU WHARF

6:30: Do Taichi session on sundeck

Be an early bird for photo hunt and refresh yourself with Taichi. If you already joined in the previous morning, it’s a second chance for you to nail it.
